This is the Wild West. Are you a lawman like Bat Masterson and Seth Bullock, an outlaw like Billy the Kid and Jesse James, or somewhere in-between like our own Doc Holliday? (Click "Next" to start the Quiz) Dusk is falling, you and your wife and children decide to have your supper in the town saloon. A fight breaks out between the barkeep and a drunken prostitute. Your wife is knocked to the floor, you: Pull your six-shooter, fire it into the air and threaten to shoot anyone who moves. Help your wife off the floor, usher your family out of the saloon, come back and arrest the prostitute and the barkeep. Pull your six-shooter, put a bullet in the drunken coward that knocked your wife to the floor. You have been put in charge of a regiment of men and ordered to escort the local Native American tribe to a reservation, some of the Natives refuse to go with you. You: Order your men to draw their guns and start firing. Sit down with the Native chief and try to convince him to go with you in order to prevent bloodshed. Identify the ring leader, execute him and threaten to keep shooting if the Natives don't start moving. You don't want to have to kill anyone else, but orders are orders. Word has reached town that a Wells Fargo stage coach is a few miles away and is traveling with one guard and several rich ladies. You: Gather your posse, check your firearm and set out for an easy mark. Sit back and wait. If someone robs the coach, perhaps survivors will come to town looking for a gun-for-hire. And if they do and you catch those responsible, you're happy to collect the bounty and any of the riches left over from the robbery. Gather a few trustworthy men and set out to offer protection to the vulnerable coach. The town’s bad-ass and fastest man with a gun has drunkenly challenged you to a gun fight. You: Tell someone to run and get the sheriff, then follow him outside. If the sheriff doesn't make it there in time to stop the fight, you're at no fault. Follow him outside with your fingers stroking your gun and a smirk on your face. He's drunk and you've been waiting a long time for this fight. Hit him in the head with the butt of your gun as he's walking out of the saloon. You have no intention of fighting a drunk, if you're going to fight, it'll be when you are both sober. You arrive at the cat house for your weekly visit with Scarlett only to find that she has been arrested for murdering the man who hit her. You: Arrange an evening with the next best, all whores are alike. Pay a visit to the town sheriff to see what evidence there is against Scarlett and begin your own investigation. It may have been self-defense. Gather your posse and ride out for a jailbreak. No one is putting a rope around Scarlett's lovely neck. On your way home from the saloon, you observe a well-dressed man and woman getting roughed up in an alley. You: Grab your six-shooter, fire it into the air and yell out "It's the law, give up or suffer the consequences!" Keep walking. You've had too much to drink, you can't help them. The sun will be up soon and you haven't had any sleep. Change your route home, stop by the sheriff's office and inform him of what you witnessed then head home. It's not your affair. Jack McCall, the man who shot Wild Bill Hickok while his back was to him, just made his way into town. You: Walk into the saloon where he's playing cards, pull your six-shooter and take him out. Cowards don't deserve to live. Stand outside the saloon where he's playing cards, call out to him and challenge him to a gun fight. You never knew Wild Bill, but you'll be damned if his murderer walks free. Join the sheriff in politely but firmly escorting him out of town. The sooner he's gone, the better. A family of freed slaves has moved into town. Some of the townsfolk start harassing them. You: Shake your head, but stay out of it. It's got nothing to do with you. Join in. You don't care too much for outsiders in your town. The sheriff has called for volunteers to help protect the family from harm until things settle down and you volunteer. Town has no law that prevents any man, woman or child from living there. The most infamous horse thief in the state has stolen your favorite horse. This horse thief has been operating for years and many a gunfighter who has challenged him has turned up dead. He’s still in town. You: Find his hotel room, confirm he's inside and empty your six-shooter into the door. The barkeep told you he had company but you don't care. Any woman who would keep com Report the theft to the sheriff and assist in arresting the thief. To see him hanged after a trial is good enough for you. Report the theft to the sheriff, hang out in the alley next to his favorite saloon, surprise him when he comes out with your six-shooter. His thieving days are over. You’ve been accused of robbing the town bank. You’ve been set up and run out of town. You’re surrounded by lawmen who promise a fair trial, but all have their guns cocked and aimed at the rock behind which you’re hiding. You check your firearm, there are two shots left. You close the chamber. Holding the gun with both hands, you close your eyes. How does your story end? I holster my gun and step out slowly from behind the rock. I'll try to reason with them to let me go, but if they refuse, I'll go out firing. I come out from behind the rock blasting my six-shooter. If I'm going out, it'll be in a blaze of glory. I toss the gun and step out from behind the rock with my hands up. I've done nothing wrong, the law is on my side and I will be found innocent. Thank you for completing the quiz.
